Youth Ministry

Our youth minister is Mrs. Suzanne McKay. Suzanne can be contacted at the parish office (966-8878). Our monthly Youth Mass is held on the third Sunday of the month. Many activities are planned throughout the year. Contact Suzanne for further information.

The Holy Sacrament of Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated on Sunday after the 12 Noon Mass. Parents must be registered and active members of the parish for at least three months. God-parents must obtain a Sponsor Certificate from their parish and present it to the parish office no later then two weeks before the scheduled baptisms.

Council of Catholic Women

The Council of Catholic Women at Saint Matthew Parish meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Mass is celebrated at 7:00p.m. and the business meeting follows at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments and fellowship are enjoyed after the meeting. For further information contact Rita Gleason at 964-7940.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus Clem Hammerschmitt Sr. Council # 11669 holds their monthly business meeting on the first Tuesday of the month. The social meeting is held on the fourth Friday of the month. For further information you may contact the Grand Knight, Sir Knight Gerald Hackett at 736-9215.

Any girl or boy who has made their First Holy Communion is eligible to become an altar server. If you wish to be an altar server contact the parish office at 966-8878.

Religious Education

Religious education is offered to students from grade 1 though 9. Parents must be registered and active members of the parish. Classes begin in September and run through May. For further information contact Gina Garroway at 966-1538.

Ministry of the Sick

For those who are homebound the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be brought to your home. All you need to do is contact the parish office at 966-8878 and make us aware of your need. Also if you would like to volunteer for this ministry you may contact the parish office. Any time you need the services of a priest you may call the parish office day or night and leave a message on the Emergency Medical Line and a priest will contact you as soon as possible.
